New Retailers Announced for EastChase Market Center

MONTGOMERY, AL | JULY 9, 2007–Retailers Bed, Bath & Beyond, Circuit City, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michael’s and ULTA will join Costco at The EastChase Market Center announced Will Wilson, President of Jim Wilson & Associates, developers of the center. The five retailers will occupy 134,607 square feet of the power center, located adjacent to the Hampton Inn & Suites on EastChase Parkway and are expected to open in the spring of 2008. Costco is scheduled to open in the fall of 2007.

“We are pleased to have these well known retailers join Costco at the EastChase Market Center,” said Will Wilson. “Dick’s and ULTA are new to Montgomery and the central Alabama market and will add a new dimension of shopping at EastChase.” Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc., is an authentic full-line sporting goods retailer offering a broad assortment of brand name sporting goods equipment, apparel, and footwear in a specialty store environment. The 45,000 square foot EastChase location will be one of 308 stores operated in 34 states primarily throughout the eastern half of the United States. The EastChase store is the first store to open in the central Alabama market and one of 6 stores in the state.

ULTA Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance will open their first store in Alabama at the EastChase Market Center. Billed as a single beauty destination, the 10,000 square foot store sells cosmetics, fragrances, skin and hair care products and appliances and accessories. ULTA stores also offer hair salon services, as well as manicures, pedicures, massages and other beauty and spa treatments. Founded in 1990, the company operates more than 200 stores in 25 states.

Bed, Bath & Beyond is the #1 superstore domestic’s retailer in the US with some 815 stores in 46 states and Puerto Rico. The stores stock better-quality brand name and private label goods in two main categories: domestics that include bed linens, bathrooms and kitchen items and home furnishings including cookware, cutlery, small household appliances, picture frames and more. The 28,000 square foot EastChase Market Center store will be one of 70 that will open nationwide in 2008.

Michael’s Stores, Inc. will open a 21,360 square foot store at EastChase. As the largest specialty retailer of arts and crafts, with 920 stores in the United States and Canada, the company carries a wide selection of merchandise. Featuring more than 40,000 products, Michael’s specializes in apparel art, bake ware, beads, fine art, floral, farming, general crafts, home décor, kid’s crafts, paper crafts, seasonal, wedding and yarn and needle crafts. Michaels also offers in-store classes to teach and stimulate the exchange of ideas and knowledge.

EastChase Market Center is the third phase of EastChase, a 330-acre, master planned development adjacent to Interstate 85 between Taylor Road and Chantilly Parkway in east Montgomery. The project is developed by a partnership of Jim Wilson & Associates and Alfa Companies, two of Alabama’s finest real estate firms.
